to visit an orchard. You can even eat them while you pick’em.

The Texas hill country is also known as the “Texas wine country.” There are dozens of nearby wineries to visit.
Visit the nearby birthplace, childhood home and final resting place of the 36th President of the United States.
Nearby Blanco, Pedernales, and Guadalupe Rivers are a great place to paddle or kayak. Click above for more details on public paddling trails.
Visit the home of a family of 5 elephants in the nearby elephant preserve located in Stonewall, Texas.

Formerly a feed mill built in 1880, the Science Mill is a local destination that is fun for the whole family. It’s interactive and inspires interest in science exploration.

Bluebonnet Festival

Visit the nearby town of Burnet, Texas the second week in April for the annual Bluebonnet Festival.  Activities vary from a carnival, all you can eat pancakes, a birding and wildflower show and arts and crafts vendors. Learn more HERE.

Peach Jamboree & Rodeo

June 18th – 20th, 2020 a parade and rodeo will take place in Stonewall, Texas for the 59th annual Peach JAMboree.  Learn more HERE.
